One of these past Sundays, I met Jamie & Matt at the Boston Public Garden to shoot their engagement pictures. Back in March, when their original wedding photographer had something come up, my friend Andrew referred them to me. We only met for about a half hour, and Matt called me within 15 minutes of us leaving to let me know that they wanted me to photograph their wedding. We completely clicked, and had a great time at their engagement session!
While it was pretty hot, the weather totally worked with us, and we got to make it pretty much around the entire Swan boat pond, stopping along the way. It was packed, but Jamie and Matt are awesome. They went along with all my crazy ideas, without missing a beat! Matt did admit that dancing was a little more nerve-wracking than he had anticipated!
Jamie chose the Public Garden not only because its beautiful, but because it is where Matt proposed, while they were walking to dinner. She had an idea the question was coming, but Matt was able to surprise her by dropping to his knee right in the middle of the bridge. Of course, we needed to reenact the moment for fun, and even though it was the second time around, they got a huge round of applause: she said yes (again)!
Seriously, could they be a cuter couple? They kept each other laughing the whole time, and its pretty clear they are genuinely best friends.
Thanks for a wonderful evening in town, guys! I can’t wait for the wedding, it’s going to be so much fun!
