Anthony & Aliya | Boston Public Library Engagement Session | Boston Wedding Photographer

I know I said that I would be posting my next blog post tomorrow, but I just couldn’t wait!  A couple of weeks ago, I got a late night email from a Marine named Anthony who was going to be home on leave for just a week, and wanted to do an engagement shoot with his fiancée Aliya.  I was lucky enough to be available the only morning that they were going to be in town, and what an awesome morning we had!  Anthony is stationed in Japan, so you can imagine that Aliya was just enthralled to have him all to herself for a bit.  Aliya is originally from Russia, but the two of them were up in the Boston area to visit Anthony’s family while he was home.

We started off strolling down Commonwealth Ave.  These two lovebirds were so happy to be able to spend time together, and I was just as happy to be able to document it for them!

Next we meandered over to the Trinity church, since there were some dark clouds giving us the eye, so we made sure to be able to take cover if we needed to.  They could be models, I tell you!

Since the clouds didn’t look like they were really going to pass, we made a bee line for the Boston Public Library.  One quick wardrobe change, and we took our last few outdoor shots in the courtyard!

Before we knew it, the rain started, and I had been dying to get one of my couples under a clear umbrella.  Aliya and Anthony were happy to snuggle together to stay dry!

With the rain starting to come down a little heavier, we wandered through the old section of the library for a few more photos (and wardrobe changes)!

Aliya, your eyes kill me!  And I would kill to have your hair!

And with that, this happy couple was off to enjoy their week in Boston.  Safe travels to both of you!
