Steph & Dan: Married! | White Cliffs Country Club Wedding

Steph & Dan are are such a happy and fun loving couple who very much care about their friends and family.  They constantly make each other laugh (I learned this very quickly at their engagement session).  They just get each other.  Everything about this wedding had meaning, from Dan’s socks (which he wore on their first date), to Steph’s necklace that was made from the diamond Steph’s dad had given her mom, to the kazoo favors.  My colleague Amy joined me for the day, and spent her afternoon with the guys while they got ready and ventured into Plymouth Harbor before the ceremony.  There wasn’t a single person who wasn’t smiling all day, and the sky turned every shade of blue, purple, and pink as a super moon rose over the water by White Cliffs Country Club as Steph, Dan, and their guests celebrated well into the night.   Even Steph & Dan’s dog, Beckett was a part of the wedding as the perfect well behaved four-legged ring bearer. Friendly note to grooms and groomsmen who are planning on wearing bow ties to their wedding – check out some YouTube how to videos prior to the day! ;) I love that Dan wore the same socks that he did on his first date with Steph, as well as cufflinks that Steph had given him as a gift. Steph couldn’t stop giggling as she put her dress on.  Clearly, just the thought of this whole thing being real put a huge smile on her face! To make sure that Steph had a part of her dad with her throughout the day, Steph’s mom had a beautiful pendant made from her wedding diamond as a surprise gift. I love that as Steph came into the aisle towards Dan, his face immediately lit up, and as she walked towards him, he openly let tears pour down his face. The signature cocktail, the Blue Dolphin, was a tip of the hat to Steph’s dad, who was a Navy submariner for twenty five years. These were some hysterical toasts, you guys.  While both our maid of honor and best man claimed that they were nervous, I’m telling you, there were some amazingly funny stories about Steph & Dan. As the sun set behind the trees, and the super moon rose over the ocean, Steph & Dan stepped out for some portraits during that perfect light. Steph & Dan, thank you, thank you, thank you for having me as part of your wedding day!  May you continue to make each other fall into fits of laughter for many many years!
