Jenn & Chris had a beautiful wedding day holding on to the last few days of summer before fall showed up in full effect (with a break back to summer for Jill & Brian’s wedding – but more on that later!). This was a day that was absolutely about celebrating with family and friends. Jenn & her ladies could not stop smiling all day, and it was so awesome how reality would set in when Jenn would least expect it, and she’d burst into happy tears that she was really going to be marrying Chris. I can’t count how many times I heard her say, “you guys, it’s really here!” during the day. With a bridal party prepped to celebrate, three of my couples in attendance, and my awesome colleague and friend Elaine Donohue shooting with me, I knew it was going to be a great day.
Of course, Jenn’s phone was blowing up with well wishes and congratulations, and as she read them to everyone, the excitement built knowing she’d see them (and Chris!) in just a few hours!
Meanwhile Elaine spent some time with the guys, who were very obviously having zero way too much fun.
Jenn’s dad was so excited to see her, and couldn’t help but let out a few tears of his own.
Both Jenn & Chris were all smiles they saw each other (and for the whole ceremony!).
After the ceremony, we headed over to hingham harbor for some easy family photos – it’s pretty awesome when you can work in the perfect golden light hour!
After giving the go ahead to family and bridal party that they could head out to start relaxing in the trolley, loading the bride up in my car (it was a big parking lot to walk across in those heels!), and ignoring a do not enter sign or two, we stole Jenn & Chris away to the public docks as the sky put on an entire show for us, turning Hingham Harbor into a perfect watercolor painting during sunset.
While we finished up at the harbor, Elaine joined cocktail hour and all of Jenn & Chris’ family and friends.
After some emotional dances and toasts, it was time to celebrate, which is what this whole group was definitely waiting for!
Jenn & Chris, thank you for such an awesome day – we couldn’t have asked for a more fun celebration!
