There are some weddings where you know, well before they arrive, that it’s going to be a great day. I first met Deandra & Brett at Jamie & Matt’s wedding, where Deandra was one of Jamie’s (many!) bridesmaids. One day last year, I checked my email to find a note from a very excited Deandra saying she was engaged, and knew she wanted me as her wedding photographer! Fast forward a date change and a year later, and I was already smiling knowing that not only did I know how wonderful the bride, groom, and venue were, but that I would be seeing a total of four of my couples all at one time, surrounded by their super sweet (and hysterical) friends. I was joined by my wonderfully talented colleague Katie Noble, and my awesome assistant Cori who both helped the day run flawlessly. Nichole and the Willowdale Estate team were wonderful to work with, and I was pleasantly surprised to bump into the florist for my own wedding, Stephanie’s Floral Design! But enough chatter from me, scroll on for what you’re really here for….
Deandra’s grandmother hand made her veil – and I was in absolute awe of her beautiful work!
Dee, you’re so easy to photograph.
Meanwhile, Katie spent her afternoon with the guys just down the hall.
Just a little tug on the tie before Brett’s bride made her way over to see him!
Could these guys be any more sweet with each other?
After Deandra & Brett were ready, we invited the bridal party and family to join us. I love the different shades of orange matching Dee’s bouquet that the ladies wore!
With a few more minutes on our hands, we let Deandra and Brett have a few more minutes with everyone tucked away to breathe and be excited :)
As we wrapped up their portraits, guests started to arrive, and everyone was all smiles for the ceremony.
It doesn’t happen very often that there’s a recessional as organized as this – each couple waited for the one before to make it down the aisle, and everyone was clearly having fun and ready to party!
After cocktail hour, it was officially time to kick off the celebration with a super sweet first dance, and some touching toasts.
Deandra and Brett had a cigar bar to entertain their guests during dinner – it’s so interesting to see these hand made.
Back into the tent for some super delicious cake, parent dances, and a packed dance floor thanks to Greg Gates Plowman!
Deandra and Brett, thank you so much for having me document such a wonderful day – I enjoyed every minute!
