How about all of this unseasonably warm weather we’re having lately? Jill & Brian’s wedding day was one of those late September 80 degree days where the sun shone brightly over what turned out to be a day filled with so much excitement and happiness. Having seen their group of friends just a few weeks earlier at celebrating for Jen & Chris, I knew that we were in for a fun filled day. I was joined by my wonderful colleague Kristin Jordan, who spent her time with Brian and his groomsmen, while I arrived at Jill’s home where the whole house was bustling, while Jill was finishing up hair and makeup. Jill is one of the most caring people; always thinking of everyone around her, spending most of her time trying to take care of everyone else and making sure they were having a great day. It was so sweet, and you could tell that everyone was so excited to turn the tables and make the day about Jill & Brian!
I love these robes Jill gave each of her girls, and with some down time (it’s always great to leave some padding in your timeline so you can relax for a little bit!), we headed outside to soak up the sun!
Meanwhile, Brian and his men were getting ready to head out (on their beloved Harley’s no less), to the beach to meet up with the ladies.
As we arrived at Duxbury beach, I heard the hum of what I knew had to be the motor of Brian’s Harley coming over the bridge.
Brian couldn’t wait until Jill got to him, and spun around as soon as he heard her voice.
Since the beach was jam packed with people (who doesn’t want to go to the beach on the last weekend in September?), we jaunted over to the Jones River Trading Company for some relaxed portraits out of the blazing sun.
With our formal portraits out of the way, it was time for the ceremony – and Brian was all smiles as Jill walked down the aisle. Nothing can take away from that moment of knowing your bride is walking towards you to become your wife. Everyone was so happy for these two – I love whenI can see the excitement on everyone’s faces. Don’t hold back those emotions, especially during the most important part of the day!
I love the looks on Jill’s mom and Brian’s aunt’s faces! They looked at each other and started busting out laughing out of excitement!
Jill’s mom and grandmother held hands throughout the ceremony.
Apparently, Brian’s side of the aisle wasn’t cheering loudly enough! ;)
It’s so nice after your ceremony to pull away just for a few minutes (especially if it’s right at sunset) to take in those first few moments of being married without any distractions (besides me shooting from across the street, so you can have some quiet time).
While Jill, Brian, and their bridal party got ready to head into the reception, Kristen and I made our way around the reception room with all of the rustic and nautical details.
Jill surprised Brian by singing to him, as she did on one of the first nights they met.
After an emotional first dance and song, we were in for a treat with some well prepared toasts!
This crew wasted zero time getting out onto the dance floor to party the night away!
Jill & Brian, thank you for being such a fun couple – you for sure have many wonderful years ahead!
