It always makes me so happy when a couple choose a location for their engagement session that means something to them. Where better to do that than the actual spot that Erik popped the question? Meghan and Erik went to UConn together (along with Ali & Joe!), and both being on the athletic side (with Erik even going on to be a pitcher for the New York Mets for a while), they just clicked. Earlier this year, Erik decided to pop the question at a beautiful overlook in the Blue Hills – a spot that I’m not 100% sure I could find if I wanted to! I’ll admit, I laughed when we pulled over to the side of the road and Meghan looked at me and said, “I promise you, we’re not being creepy and leading you into the woods!” Erik had visited the spot the day prior and made markers for us, including a rope to help us climb to the top! It was so worth the trek to be up there just before sunset. Add to that the fact that these two are clearly head over heels for each other, are ridiculously adorable, and just overall awesome people, and you have the perfect ingredients for a perfect session. I mean seriously, take a look at these two, and that view!
I couldn’t help but make a few portraits of Meghan while Erik made sure we were going to be ok climbing back down.
Meghan & Erik make each other laugh, and we had so much fun playing around.
As we were heading out and the sun went down, we pulled over for a quick shot after dusk. Meghan & Erik, thank you for being so wonderful, I can’t wait for your Ocean Edge Resort wedding next year!
