The blog is on fire this week! This time with my absolutely dear friends Leah & Nick. I was so honored when these guys asked me to be their wedding photographer, because Nick is my closest friend from photography school. When either of us thought we’d never make it to graduation, or were stuck on an assignment, we’d kick each other into high gear and we both made it through! One thing you need to know about this couple: they laugh together (and sometimes at each other). I knew it was going to be a fun evening, especially knowing Josh and I would be joined by our awesome instructor Bob Packert (it was like a little reunion!), and we were right. From the moment we arrived, everyone was smiling and enjoying themselves. The Popponesset Inn provided the perfect backdrop for their beach celebration, filled with laughs, tears, and a whole lot of honest emotion. For those of you who follow along, you know I tend to tear up at weddings, and Josh teases me for it. This time, even Josh couldn’t hold back tears as Nick and his mom took the dance floor. When we’re asked what our favorite photos are, they’re always the ones we never saw coming, and there were plenty to be had at this wedding!
Naturally, the boys were put to work building the most beautiful chuppah!
Love Leah’s reaction to seeing Nick!
After the ceremony we ran to the beach for a few portraits of the happy couple – they were so honestly and openly excited, and it warmed my heart!
Here are some awesome vendors who helped to make this special day a reality for Leah & Nick!
