Michelle & Mike: Married! | A West Dennis Yacht Club Wedding

Blogging on a Saturday?  Yep, that’s right!  It’s the week before Thanksgiving, and that means it’s time to share how grateful we are for all of our couples!  I have realized that I say almost every wedding how “this one holds a special place for us”, and every time, it holds true.  We get to really know all of our couples, so it feels like they’re family by the time their wedding rolls around.  Even more so with Michelle & Mike, because many of our past couples will remember Cori, our all around adorable assistant who will sometimes make an appearance with us, and doubles as a professional bridesmaid or right hand man the guys, is Michelle’s little sister, so we know how amazing this family is.  It was one of those days where the excitement is undeniable, and we heard from multiple people, “seriously, today is just the best day!”  You’ll remember these guys from their amazing nautical engagement session, and I am so happy that these high school sweethearts found each other.  Their wedding day was a beautifully designed nautical affair, and I felt like we were photographing the Kennedys when we had them at sunset by the water.  We started our day with them at the Lighthouse Inn, where they prepped for the day, and were able to walk over to the West Dennis Yacht Club for their stunning ceremony and reception!

Cori was so beyond happy for her sister, and how can you not love that bubbly smile?

Just across the way, Josh spent some time with Mike and his guys, who had a very serious game of mini golf outside their lodge to play.

Now I know where Cori & Michelle get their smiles from :)  Their mom got a serious cheek workout that day!

Michelle’s dad and brother Brody were left speechless when they walked in.

Michelle, you are just stunning.

 

 

When everyone was ready, we stepped away to allow Michelle & Mike to see each other for the first time.  It’s so wonderful to have this time for just the two of you, with nobody telling you what to do, and to just be together without distraction.

Ok, so if you are on the fence about whether or not a first look will take away from the moment you walk down the aisle, please take a look at Mike as Michelle walked down the aisle.  Without the nerves of everyone wondering what his reaction would be, he was able to be completely open to the moment, and (maybe unsuccessfully) was holding back tears of happiness.

 

 

At the end of the night, we had to take advantage of one of the clearest skies we’ve seen in a very long time!  We could not have ended our Cape Cod part of our season in better style than with these two!
