Symantha & Marcus: Engaged! | A Good Harbor Beach Engagement Session

When we’re scheduling engagement sessions with our couples, we always explain how we roll with the punches on wedding days, but given the choice of weather, we’re always going to plan for the ideal light for their engagement session.  With crazy amounts of thunderstorms passing through our area over the past few weeks, Symantha and Marcus were so patient as we rescheduled due to storms more than once.  Finally, we had a perfect weather day, and we made the trek out to Good Harbor Beach for their engagement session.  As we drove, we saw the perfect mixture of sun and clouds and were fist pumping to how awesome the light was going to be.  As we turned to the coast, about a mile from the beach, a dense fog rolled in, and I may or may not have yelled out loud at mother nature in the car. I remember thinking, “REALLY?  WHAT THE HECK IS THIS?” as we pulled into the parking lot, unable to see more than 50 feet ahead of us.  By the end of the session, I was thinking, “All fog, all the time!”  We had so much fun with how good spirited Symantha & Marcus are, and had a blast both in and out of the water for their session, and can’t wait until their Bradley Estate wedding next month!

A benefit of having a crazy weather pattern?  Having the whole beach to yourself.

No land to be seen for miles…

See those cliffs that are barely there in the background?  There’s a mansion on them.  I love how dreamy the shapes of the cliffs are here!

After a quick outfit change and a few quiet portraits, we pulled out our own sun, and laughed at Mother Nature for trying to take away our sunset.

Symantha and Marcus, thank you so much for being such awesome sports, and absolutely nailing being awesome!  This was one of our favorite beach sessions ever, so be on notice that we’re expecting your wedding to be just as amazing! ;)
